Shayne Philpott Children: Did he have children?

New Zealand rugby player Shayne Philpott was a talented defender who died in June 2024 at the age of 58. Known as a ‘footy great’, Philpott spent his career playing most of the back positions.

Despite suffering a serious knee injury at a young age, he persevered and made his All Blacks debut in 1988.

He went on to play in the 1991 Rugby World Cup. Philpott was not a superstar, but his dedication to his craft and work ethic won him over the fans.

In his 113 games with the team, Philpott is known as a mainstay for Canterbury at provincial level.

While the cause of his death remains unknown, other players and New Zealand Rugby have sent heartfelt tributes.
