NEW YORK — James Hoye will be the plate umpire and crew chief for the All-Star Game on July 16 at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas.

Hoye was the left field umpire for the 2015 All-Star Game in Cincinnati. The 53-year-old made his Major League debut in 2003 and worked in the World Series in 2019 and 2022.

His team includes Bruce Dreckman at first, John Tumpane at second, Nic Lentz at third, Ben May at left and Texas native Nestor Ceja at right, Major League Baseball said Tuesday. Dreckman will be working on his second All-Star Game and the rest of the crew on their first.
